Patience 02:40
Patient as I can be for the spring to start to bloom, I know I've weathered winters but I've never felt such gloom, And when you come now, how will you come? Careful to avoid cliché and never to assume, But, oh, how I obsess for things I'll never, ever do, And when you come now, how will you come? My friends are growing up and some have children of their own, I'm facing up to how I might spend my whole life alone, I swear I'm never one to agonise, yet here I am again; Dragging out my pain to feel a hand warm my cold skin; To make my heart fix what's broken. I want to feel romance on a whim And feel a love burn from within. But when you come now, how will you come?

Today I scared myself with what I am, I'm never sure i have what makes a man. I've felt the touch of love and curse of hate, And try to show the difference every day. Who am I? ...a vagabond? ...a lazy bones? ...a lie? And, who are you? ...a man screaming bloody murder without proof. At present I am best a little stale, My face once full of life grows dull and pale, I've always, for dear life, clung on to dreams, And only now really considered what they mean. Who am I? ...a know-it-all? ...a cocky prick? ...a lie? And, who are you? ...a man constant with his bite, and bark, and chew. What a waste this all has been I seem to cruise clueslessly never knowing what life means And every encounter is just like a lullaby, I'm waiting for a song, or sign to bring me back to life. Who am I? ...a creep? ...a drunk? ...a simple passer by? And,who are you? ...a man unable to see wood for trees in view. Who am I? ...a shoulder crippled by these chips I boast are mine? Who are you? ...a man constantly antagonising. ...feverishly romanticising. ...simply overanalysing. ...and now without me there to tell what to do.

The lights turned on, But no one’s there, Just empty hearts, And bottles; bare. Conversation sets the tone; Sertraline and broken homes. With every story, I’m more alone. In my bed, Her ghost sleeps, In to her breast, At night I weep. Faintly whispering how I’ve been, the drunken rage; and sex; and sin, With every word, I’m deeper in. I told her I’d love her like no one ever could, But these days you need more than just love. I told her I'd keep her how deep down I should, But these days you need more than just love. As time went on my anger grew, All the while I hoped she knew, But like apparitions passing through, She came and went like lovers do.

Comfortable 05:04
Like the colour of blood as you paint your skin, Or the terrible thoughts when you think of him, Just a feint whiff of proof and the plans are off, With a deep breath akin to a whooping cough. You settle down, down, down; like your stomach’s full. You settle down, down, down; until comfortable. Like a walk in the dark where you stub your toe, Proving you don’t know just what you think you know. You arrive at the scene with a plan in your head, But lo and behold you've got it wrong again, You’ve got no control. So you settle down, down, down; like your stomach’s full. You settle down, down, down; until comfortable. The bodies who are normally attached to your hips, Cram in the bottleneck pressed to your lips. I know you think it will, it won’t help one bit; They only want to watch you go down. You settle down, down, down; like your stomach’s full. You settle down, down, down; until comfortable.
